Our last night at Fox and Hounds will be Monday April 27th with guests Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer. We moved to a new venue on May 4th. Every Monday we'll be at The Foresters, 235 Dartford High Road, Wilmington. It is far more accessible than The Fox and has plenty of parking. Feel free to come along, especially if you want to sing or play at our opening sing around. The only other thing the club needs is a new name. The fox and hounds is converted woodcutter's cottages, and the new venue is The Foresters, so there is a tree theme going on. any sensible suggestions welcome.

Refreshing! Looked in at the pub and made ourselves known to the landlady tonight. The Chelsea v Everton match was on Sky tv, but playing to itself. The punters that were in were ignoring it. Big pub with central bar and side rooms. One side has pool and darts and the other has restaurant tables, so we'll take that side. It also is where the smoking room is situated.We had 2 halves of soft drink and spent under £2.00 so prices reasonable. There were rolls on offer, but no coffee at the time we were there, but you'll only want beer won't you? There's a fair size carpark behind the pub and spaces out front too. We left her two posters.I am hoping Capella will come to our first night.

Both pretty good, but people might think the former is in Essex. So far, in order to put out some publicity, the working title is "Folk at The Foresters"

Yeah, there are four "Fox and Hounds" threads active today, and that's very confusing. Girl Friday asked me to "associate" the threads, so I've added crosslinks at the top. The threads are too big to combine because I have to move each message individually.

If you're publicising a venue like a folk club or festival, you might want to consider asking me to help you set up an edited PermaThread, so information on events can be kept up-to-date.

I'd second Joe's suggestion of a Permathread Sue, I'm sure you'd be able to keep it nice & tidy! I just don't get enough time to trawl through several threads so I'd prefer to just have one on tracer without all the in-house jokes & chat that I'm too separate from. You never know, we might visit one day.....
