Brilliant concert in Stornoway last night and touring Scotland - get to see it if you can as it will probably be a one-off.

from the publicity blurb:

"Seven of the greatest musicians from both sides of the Atlantic come together to explore the music which travelled with the emigrants from Scotland and Ireland to America - and back again"

Featuring: Kris Drever (Lau), Éamonn Coyne (Salsa Celtica), Sarah McFadyen (Harem Scarem), Tim Matthew (Mystery Juice), Betse Ellis (The Wilders), Caleb Clauder & Sammy Lind (The Foghorn String

What a great idea for a show! I'd love to see them do the same thing out here in middle America when they are done in Scotland. I'm sure Betse Ellis from out our way is holding up her end - one helluva good musician.

It was a great show! I was lucky enough to catch them at the Tolbooth in Stirling and you better believe Betse held her end up.

Can't wait to see her back here in July with the Wilders. Saw them briefly at Celtic Connections and they brought the house down.
