Wasn't there another "Moving On" - maybe by Roger Williams - something about "like a long lonely street I keep [something or other - don't want to put in a mondegreen]. I didn't see anything in the DT under Moving on or long lonely street. I'll have to dig out the old LPs, but I don't think I even have a turntable anymore!

I have this in two forms: SATB and SA/TB It was written by Raymond R. Hannisian. Info at the bottom of the first page : Copyright MCMLXIX, MCMLXXI, Malcolm Music, Ltd. Sole Selling Agent: Shawnee Press, Inc., Delaware Water Gap, PA, 18327.

My octavo choral copy also has a flute part and a string bass part written. The only recording I have was made at the International Music Camp (Choral) at International Peace Gardens, July, 1973.

This song was used by a high school glee club/choir back in the mid 70's. The words to this song are:
"there is a voice, that has no name,
it comes with evening or behind the rain.
I have no time now, to stop and explain,
I just keep moving, cause it helps to ease the pain.
The night has music, that calls to me,
across the canyons of an endless sea.
I have no time now, to stop and explain,
I just keep moving, cause it helps to ease the pain.....".
The school orchestra also had sheet music to accompany the singers. There was a flute solo. Any help you can give in finding out who wrote this music, if there are any recordings and where I can get the sheet music(piano) Will be greatly appreciated.
