Subject: RE: A Rare Mudcat Siting in Colorado! From: Stilly River Sage Date: 01 May 09 - 11:45 AM I know we've enumerated the Mudcatters we've met-- Joybell and Hildebrand Rapaire Marian Jed Marum Uncle Phil Texas Guest (at least, I later figured out who he was at a concert I attended) Wesley And of course there are the folks I think I've known all of my life-- Bob Nelson (Deckman) Don Firth and various folks up there I know, have met, or know of Mark Cohen Mary Garvey (mg) the late John Ross, Phil and Hilda Thomas and I'm probably still missing some. There are folkies who have visited Mudcat but I don't think are regular participants, so I won't make this list any longer, but there are other shadow Mudcatters, so to speak, who read but rarely comment. Subject: RE: A Rare Mudcat Siting in Colorado! From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 30 Apr 09 - 11:19 AM Thanks for posting, Kat- and believe me, the feeling is totally mutual! That hug was a winner, wasn't it? I'm still glowing from it! What a thrill to finally meet you!! I have never yet met a Mudcatter I didn't like. I wouldn't begin to try to list them all. But I have learned that even a hit-and-run such as Kat and I just experienced is absolutely worth it! I'm staying with my niece-in-law in beautiful Berkeley, hoping to see ClaireBear and Dave Swan tomorrow, before giving in to the tsunami of family obligations starting Saturday. |

Subject: RE: A Rare Mudcat Siting in Colorado! From: ClaireBear Date: 30 Apr 09 - 12:19 AM Hope to gave such a sighting myself on Friday. I must say, advance knowledge of what she looks like will help tremendously, as "wearing white" will not narrow it down much in a pub full of morris dancers. Thanks, Kat! C |

Subject: RE: A Rare Mudcat Siting in Colorado! From: VirginiaTam Date: 29 Apr 09 - 04:32 AM How lovely for you. Funny thing about AllanC. I used to work with him when he still lived in Va. In fact my very first introduction to Mudcat was through him and a Mudcat radio show posted on the Mudcat in da bad old days around Y2K. Now I live and folk in the UK and got reintroduced to MC via English friends. Small world innit? |

Subject: A Rare Mudcat Siting in Colorado! From: katlaughing Date: 28 Apr 09 - 09:16 PM Well, well...I got a magnificent Mudcat Hug today and it came all the way from New Hampshire, right here to Colorado! Animaterra and Hunt were travelling through, by train, and had a ten minute, or thereabouts layover, so my Rog came home to get me, took me down there and we had time for a couple of hugs and a PICTURE and much more, did I say?...hugging! And, I have a hot off the press demo CD of them and their fabulous music! She is every bit as wonderful, sweet, beautiful, lovely, and loving as I have known her to be these past eleven years or so online, no surprise, but oh how wonderful to actually get to see each other in 3D! Just reaffirms my feelings about how wonderful Mudcatters are and can be. Oh, and Hunt, her husband and music partner is every bit as wonderful, very gracious, patient and kind...just like my Rog. I feel very lucky.:-) So, those whom I have met in person, either in WY or CO: Micca - England Bill Sables - England AllanC - Virginia Lonesome EJ - CO El Swanno - CA Sorcha - WY BlueJay - CO Rex Rideout - CO Animaterra - NH Frank Jones/Francy - OR Big Mick & family - MI Marion - Canada
And, BERT! |
