Hi all

Well, we tried our best to get Carol Ann Duffy, but unfortunately we could only manage the man who we all know should have been Poet Laureate. The inimitable Mr Barker will be bringing his distinctive brand of wit and wisdom to Maudslay Thursday on 14th May, with support being provided by the no less estimable Alfresco from Kenilworth.

Tickets are available from the booking form on our website (www.maudslaythursday.co.uk ), or online with your card from wegottickets.com or by ringing Lucy on 07535 130975. Failing that, you could just turn up on the night and hope there's some left! They're priced at £7 advance or £8 on the door. It'd be great to see loads of people there.

As I said on the Poet Laureate thread, they seem to have gone for the Steve Mclaren option - I've put this gig up on the Myspace Guidecats page so hopefully will generate a bit of interest.
