Sorry the thread has been hijacked! had a great time year as did all of the Artists who I spoke to.

The weather was fantastic, the fringe events brill

Poor auld Harvey picked up a bug, poor Claude ate a dodgy oyster and the ambulance had to be called. Vin Garbutt covered for Claude and all was well in the end.

Brookes Williams, Navaro, Simon Hopper, all new to me and enjoyed them immensely

Tickets on sale for next year and loads gone already.

Sitting on the end of the pier in the sunshine with the waves crashing and plenty of good music to look forward too, does not get much better.

well done Scott for another well organised and lovely festival, number eleven, and I will be there at no 12 too.

Rafflesbear I don't know who you are or which band you represent but neither me or any of my friends who are regularly booked have had any problems, I think you would be better to ring Scott Butler to get your problem dealt with and resolved.

Not yet they are not - I was hoping to be able to write in that the debts for 2008 had now been paid - but I can't

What chance getting paid for 2008 when 2009 is now history?

and I dislike people who do not pay their debts, say they will pay and then don't

I shall be delighted to repost and let the good people of Mudcat know when the debts have been paid

a year on is a long time to resolve payment for musicians struggling to make a living

BEWARE - I know of two musicians who took part in last year's event and despite many promises from Scott Butler they are still waiting to be paid the agreed fee

He knows the money is due because a couple of months ago when they were speaking he said again that he would send it and still they are waiting

Folk on the Pier coming up soon, 8th to 10th May, great line up this year and also a good fringe festival of free events if you are in the area. Folk On The Pier
A lovely location as well, just hoping for some nice weather!
