OOPS! Dropped laptop on floor before I could get my words out-as I was saying the immensely talented trio are performing at Cottingham ~Live on 27 May 2009 -huge voices and perfect harmonies we have waited nearly a year for this and I know we won't be disappointed! They have made a huge impression on everyone who has heard them, so grab the opportunity before they become too famous to tour! Support will be abley provided by our very own Les from Hull and the fragrant Maggie. Les will be our birthday boy for the evening and I will be birthday girl -just to point our He is considerably older than me!!!!

They did a great night at KFFC in March (standing room only!). I'm wondering if I can get down to this one...... I've not been to Cottingham Live yet and it's not THAT far. We'll see.

I'm sure it will be great anyway.

Paul

Surely if he is to be auctioned off then £10 is a guide price, and one should also consider setting up telephone bids, enjoy your evening!

Thanks to everyone for making last night a fabulous evening and a memorable birthday! The Younguns were superb and with surprise visits from Micca, Mrs Cobble and many other friends from afar the evening and the room were packed -there was chocolate there was cake there was regular updates on the Manchester United game from David Eagle -who frankly is a hair's breath from sectioning but heyho -Thanks too to Les & Mags for the admirable support it was the most fun I have with water pistols in a folk club for some time. Linda

Many Thanks Linda and Les for providing the excuse, I enjoyed the "waterpistols song" too, The Young'ums were excellent! tight harmonies and splemdid voices, I found the last number with hissyfit particularly moving and melodius, Many thanks to all at Cottingham Live for the warmth and friendlyness of the welcome (I feel almost like a member now!!) and a Happy Birthday Linda and Les!!

Thanks to everybody for a great night, and a smashing way to celebrate Linda's and my birthday. Particular thanks to the Young 'Uns, who were excellent as usual. It was also a miniMudgather with about a dozen Catters in the room.

Maggie has dried out nicely.

Ditto to Miccas' post "I found the last number with hissyfit particularly moving and melodius".
I found my knees were all a quiver singing with the lads. 'Hartlepool is bloomin' is my favourite song with 'fly sparrow fly' a close second.
Maggies' Grace Darling song was echoed all night by David - Help help? Brilliant evening - which finally ended after the quintets version of Sweet Minerva!! Linda was still 'buzzing' when I met her after work today!
Must mention how good it was to see Pete and 'Mrs Pete' (from Leicester) and to sing with Brian.
Wonder what Linda will manage to arrange for her and Les' Birthday in 2010? Watch this space.
Hx
