Glad to hear from Black Sheeps and Stallion again, I'm back in the loop, as they say in Computers. You may already have set off for South Shields by now. It should be a great night. I'm a bit embarrassed about some of the previous bits of thread, I'm a shy woman at heart. I am actually trying to learn to play the whistle, bodhran and keyboard all at the same time. I play them all badly at present, but you have to start somewhere. Don't know where it will all end! See you all tonight Ann

Well done Stallion and Sheeps, I've just returned from the Great night at the South Shields Folk club, superb harmony singing, just what folk music is all about. You've reminded me of a song I used to sing, 'Johnny I hardly knew ya'. I stopped singing it because people were belting out the chorus too happily and it's a terribly sad song. Now I might try it again, I think you managed to get the pathos across.
I'm thinking of you all in that car going back to York as I write at 11.45pm, I suppose you may be in Teesside by now. Stallion, the hugs were lovely, I'll look forwrd to it all again next year, unless I bump into you at some festival somewhere. Please please all take care of yourselves till then. Meantime I'll be keeping up with this thread (can't believe I'm using these computer terms so glibly). Love Annie A xx

Hello Sheeps and Stallion
The guest at South Shields folk Club last Sunday was Paul Dalton from Teesside, an unaccompanied singer, who was good. But I wish Pat Wilson would sing with him as well, as she is good. She said she isn't singing much at the moment. Tonight (June 7th) is a Residents night, when we usually try to do stuff that we wouldn't normally do (but we keep it clean!). Even Ken plays his blues, he's good but we don't tell him that! And Brian Jary might even do one of his cross-dressing songs! And we sometimes get unexpected visitors.

Hope the 3 of you are well, surely not much can have happened to you in the last 2 weeks, or can it? Best wishes to you and hugs to Stallion. Annie xx

Stallion and Sheeps, you may not get this as you could be in the US of A by now, if so, have a great time! We have Trio Threlfall on Sunday so that will be good. Our Residents night last week was good as we had drop in people and Ken wisely let them have most time. I'm really busy as well, even though I'm not working much, how did I find the time to work? How do people manage to be bored?

Off to the shops now at the Metrocentre for some female Retail Therapy. Lots of hugs Annie xx
