Alan's contribution to folk music cannot be underestimated, as Ron points out in his OP - singer, songsmith, collector, director of Fylde Festival, Chair of Folkus - all this and a tireless facilitator of the music on every level, both great & small.

Happy birthday, Alan - and man, many, happy returns!
