Just thought I'd mention that a guy here named Dale Humphries has set up shop making guitars.

Humphries' company, Smooth Stone Guitars, located at the intersection of Hawthorne and West Chubbuck roads behind Belmonte Management, is now producing its own line of acoustic and electric guitars ranging in price from $800 to $2,800.
"It only took one smooth stone for David to bring down Goliath. We're going to bring down giants, Fender, Gibson and Martin with one Smooth Stone," Humphries joked.
Smooth Stone's line includes five standard acoustic guitars and two standard electric guitar models.
Originally from Georgia, Humphries started playing guitar 46 years ago. In the 1970s, he toured Asia playing with a Southern rock band called Dallas McGee.

Even though as a trumpeter I recognize these as instruments of Satan, I thought some of you might like to know.

seems strange that someone with such lofty ambitions at such an advanced age wouldn't even take the time to set up a company website.

not only that, but the domain name www.smoothstoneguitars.com hasn't even been registered, at this moment in time is still available for $9.98.

doesn't augur well for the success of Smooth Stone Guitars imo.

I don't think stone's the best material either. Won't resonate very well.

Dale just got back from Illinois working with Thomas Bradley, the advertising firm designing the website. Thomas Bradley also does advertising and films commercials for companies such as John Deer, Caterpillar, Adobe Software, and Nike. Expect Smooth Stone guitars to have an outstanding website online in a couple of weeks.

Thanks, Travis. Looks like a good start on the website, and some nice looking boxes, too.
