Subject: Guitar teachers in Leicester From: forest_rose Date: 22 May 09 - 02:00 PM Hi everyone - I'm new here, and I hope I'm not breaking some kind of etiquette rule by posting this. Please be gentle with me if I have! I've played the guitar rather badly for many years now, just strumming a few self-taught chords, but I'd really like to start playing something a bit more complex. I'm very into Kate Rusby, and I love the guitar style on her songs, but I'd have no idea of where to start teaching myself to play like that. I'm currently studying in Leicester (East Midlands, UK) and wondered if any locals knew of a teacher who might be patient enough to take me on? I'd be really grateful for any help you could offer. Subject: RE: Guitar teachers in Leicester From: Lox Date: 22 May 09 - 08:56 PM Go to sheehans music services shop about a hundred yards up the road from the railway station on the same side and ask in there. They have a list of folkie guitar teachers and others covering a pretty broad spectrum of expertise and price. |
