Barry-

There's no shortage of bell rope, even for someone as tall as you.

They say that the bell is now secure for another hundred years or so but I'm still not sure I'd want to experiment with it.

The last person who gave it a try was Nellie.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

Not unless there's enough bell rope to hang me from

Mary-

The building is the same and insurance covered the reconstruction of the bell tower floors that were taken out by the falling bell.

The Irish Heritage Center is fully functional and the sanctuary is quite an amazing space to perform in. With five of us going full blast, there are going to be layers and layers of echoes.

Barry-

Why don't you come and check out the bell tower. It's a real swinging place.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

Mary, that story rings a bell.

If some one was hurt would you call them a "dead ringer".

Charlie,
I heard that they had to close the center. It is in a church, right? Story was the bell broke free from the belfry and crashed through the roof. No one was hurt.
Do I have the wrong center?
Mary

You are cordially invited to attend a Roll & Go sea music concert next Saturday, May 30th, 7 pm, at the former St. Dominic's Catholic Church on State Street, Portland, Maine, as a benefit for the Irish Heritage Club. The ornate sanctuary of this church is huge and we are looking forward to filling it with sound; call 207-232-2001 for reservations or more information. Admission is $10 in advance, $12 at the door, half price for children under 12.

Cheerily,
Charley and Judy
