We were thinking the same - how about really confusing the natives by having a saggy bottoms combined night over here!! Have a great time this weekend - our next outing is supporting Phil Cunningham & Aly Bain when they are over here in July - we're going to do some toning down of the set on Monday - any suggestions would be most welcome - we don't want to over awe those two geniuses!!

The SOGGY bottom boys - hence our name is both an affectionate tribute to the film and a send up of ourselves

Arran is a lovely place - I had a family holiday there several years ago and ended up doing some playing in one of the sessions.

Hi guys - didn't mean to steal your name but just had to put a band together for this years Arran Folk Festival, If its any consolation - we grabbed the capacity crowd from the first note and left them crying for more at the end. As we are on a remote Scottish Island - don't feel threatened - just think fondly of us as your distant scottish cousins.

A video clip can be seen on our website :

www.arranfolkfestival.com

or a direct link can be had here (it takes a while to load as there's also some footage of the main band Lunasa) but be patient:

a slow track from the Scottish Saggy Bottom Boys

Have fun now y'all.

Or you could start at the Fringe Meet and Greet at Hodgsons and then go on down to the Dog and Duck.

The real SBBs are playing the first night of Beverley folk festival weekend at the Dock and Duck Inn just of the market place in Beverley: 8.30 start - I think that the choice is between us or Billy Bragg who is appearing at the festival the same night!

In fairness I should point out that we are part of the fringe festival and not on the official programme.
