Was listening again today to "Fanfare Ciocarlia" while driving my car.,br> I was introduced first to this sort of music by my wife who brought back sometime ago a tape from a trip to Romania called - La Fanfare De Zece Prajini.
My daughter then (knowing I liked it) gave me a CD by Fanfare Ciocaria called - Radio Pascani. This has the following as track 6:

Check out the book "Princes Amongst Men" by Garth Cartwright for everything you want to know about Balkan Brass and Gypsy music. There is also an accompanying CD (on Asphalt Tango) that's really pumping....
