On "Big Leg Blues" by John Hurt, the websites have:

Late at midnight, the moon shone bright as day
I saw your faror going up the right of way.

But is that really what he says? What's a "faror"? It sounds like that on the record to me also. I've listened a hundred times. Does anyone really understand it?

In "Country Blues Guitar" Stefan Grossman footnotes this lyric:

*"Faror" is slang for girlfriend.
