On Friday 19th June Electric Voices welcomes the exciting young band Mawkin:Causley, described with tongue in cheek, as "the greatest folk boy-band in the world", to Guildford's Electric Theatre.

Many Electric Voices concert-goers and folk club members will already be aware of the singing of Devonian Jim Causley, either solo or as one third of The Devil's Interval.

His joining up with the ebullient young Essex instrumental band Mawkin to perform their repertoire of English traditional songs and tunes has proved to be a marriage made in heaven and been described in The Guardian as "deserving to be up there with Bellowhead as heroes of the new folk revival - Mighty, provocative, yet admirably considered".

The concert commences at 8pm at the Electric Theatre, and tickets can be obtained through the box offie on 01483 444789, or online at
