Is anyone familar with the Kevin Doherty (of Four Men and a Dog) song "Maybe Tonight"? It was recorded on the Four Men and a Dog CD of the same name.

I have a question about a word in the song. There is a part of the song that goes

The trouble with a seaside town
strangers all come around.
The minute they light on the ground
they let all the ladies down,
let them all down
with their [???????]
and their promises.

To my ears, it sounds like the missing word is "bronians". That wouldn't seem to make any sense, unless it's an Irish or other East-of-the-pond word that is unfamiliar to this clueless Yankee.

Any ideas?

Don
