I am shocked! Even a day later. I would have never guessed 80. You certainly wear it well. This is a good time to pass on a new verse to Happy Birthday that I recently learned.

Dick- We're just home from being in Kentucky for most of the month, ending with a great Family Reunion with about 80 Ritchie Family members, visiting, playing games, eating, and singing all the old songs that have helped bind this family together for so long. George, Jon and I, and we all hope that you had a most happy birthday, and are grateful to you for all you have done to preserve all the music that has come from so many families.....

Thanks all. I'm forgoing a birthday cake, as that many candles would definitely affect global warming, but I'm celebrating in a different way. I'm re-issuing Bronson's Traditional Tunes of the Child Ballads , at the same price that was charged when it was first published, almost 40 years ago. I'll be posting details and prices very shortly.
      And now I have another 10 years to think up a nw project.
