All welcome

Thanks Mike, I thought Bollin were great fun and made for an excellent evening.

I thought the Beech Band played rather well and we have finally played for dancers - which I guess is the point really. I have a pile of photos and will put them some where like face book so that everyone can see them.

See you shortly

Les

Next time I'll get there on time, and bring my G whistle - although dancing to the Four Hand Reel was at least as much fun as playing it would have been. Top night.

PS G tunes, grr. Ever since I got my posh new D whistle I've been trying to (a) play the G tunes on it and (b) cross-finger the C naturals instead of half-holing, which my fingers still haven't got used to. I'll get there.

PPS Happy birthday, Al!

PPPS Not that Al. Well, not as far as I know.

Phil,

keys do cause endless problems. We nearly gave up last year so we spent quite some time playing tunes in different keys but we still haven't really cracked it. D is much better for whistles I think and it does suit most other instruments - I am not sure why we play stuff in G.

Maybe we need a key meeting with key discussions and some key changes?

Our garden some sunny day?
Cheers

Les

Bollin made The South Manchester Reporter today. Two pictures and a reasonable report.

Bollin are a mixed side - but mostly women - Interesting that the pictures were two blokes - and good picies too taken by whom I wonder?

Still dance Tuesday in the paper and delivered by Thursday

Best wishes and thanks again to all of Bollin

Les
