The Goose Is Out . The Magnolia 211 Lordship Lane ,East Dulwich, London SE22

Doors 8pm £5/£3(singers,see below)

Chris and Benedict have been friends for an awfully long time! They both attended the Royal Northern College of Music together before heading south to the bright lights of London. Chris originally studied the Piano and Benedict concentrated mainly on the Viola during their student years but after being bitten by the folky bug they turned their attentions to something a little more rustic. They have been playing together now as a duo specialising mostly in English traditional material for around two years, performing in prestigious venues throughout the country and also for the nationwide Live Music Now organisation.

Chris and Ben will be doing two 45 minute sets, and the rest of the evening will be open to anybody who would like to sing or play traditional songs and tunes in the cosy informal setting of the Magnolia. If there's a chorus, all the better! There will be no mikes and no PA.

If you want to be sure of getting a spot, please email us beforehand or at least turn up early - doors open at 8pm and the live music will start around 8.15pm and finish around 11.15pm (or possibly when the last singer leaves!)

There is a late bar at the Magnolia with last orders at 12.30am - and the N176 night bus passes the door every half hour!.
for those of you that don't know the Magnolia it is at 211 Lordship Lane SE22 , on the corner of Lordship lane and Pellatt Road .

£5/£3 singers. (sorry , we have to pay the main act)

"impeccable fiddle and guitar work, one of the best voices ever........a very major addition to the British folk scene" - Tom McConville - Musician of the year, BBC Folk Awards
