Does anyone know of a song about a cat and rat? Not just one that mentions the animals part way through.

There are versions of "Froggy went a courtin" which feature Uncle Rat and have "Kitty alone" in the refrain - see this:

The one by Swift may be what you want, but I can't find it on the web right now.

Many versions of Dunderbeck mention cats and rats. So does Shel Silverstein's The Unicorn.

Typo (missing "o" in "mouse") in first line above from Martin Said to His Man/Who's the Fool Now.

I wonder if any cat-and-mouse songs were composed for any of the Tom and Jerry specials or movies?

Fury said to a mouse,
    That he met in the
            house, 'Let us
               both go to law:
                I will prosecute
             you.-- Come, I'll
             take no denial;
          We must have
         a trial: For
       really this
    morning I've
   nothing to do.'
       Said the mouse
             to the cur,
               'Such a trial,
                  dear Sir, With
                      no jury or
                   judge, would
                   be wasting
               our breath.'
            'I'll be
       judge, I'll
    be jury,'
   Said cunning
old Fury:
    'I'll try
      the whole
       cause, and
            condemn
                you
                  to
                   death.'

        -- Lewis Carroll
"It's a very long tail, certainly" said Alice. "But why do you call it sad?"

Three little mice sat down to spin,
Pussy passed by and she peeped in.
What are you at, my fine little men?
Making coats for gentlemen.
Shall I come in and cut off yours threads? Oh, no, Miss Pussy,
You'd bite off our heads!"

"The Cat, the Rat and Lovell our dog/Rule all England under the Hog." The cat was William Catesby; the dog was Francis, Viscount Lovell; and the hog was Richard III, who used a wild boar as his heraldic device.[2] The poem was interpolated into Laurence Olivier's film Richard III, a screen adaptation of William Shakespeare's play.
The Rat was Sir William Ratcliffe.
