Thanks Capt'n, but wouldn't it have been easier to just post a link to the Seafest website, which contains even more information, rather than just copying the homepage (with it's inbuilt repeated guests).

See you there.

Looks like I may be allowed off leash to get to the festivities. Does anyone know if there is any overnight accommodation available for the Saturday night? I checked the website, all it says is 'coming soon'.

It would be just me. Right now I'm trying to sort out when I get to kidnap my granddaughter and whether she will be with me that weekend, in which case Scarborough will probably be a no. That should be sorted in the next few days.

Hi all,

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Scarborough. Just wondering...Richard said that information would be forthcoming by email and so far nothing.

I will be arriving by train on Friday afternoon and have no idea where to go. Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks,
Debra

yes,go to Scarborough railway station, then turn right, walk straight on,in the direction of the sea front about half a mile, and you will come to the sea front, throgh a pedestrianised shopping precinct the road eventually curves to the right, youwill meet a road that runs along the sea front cross straight over, the festival office is there, near the fish loading bay, right next to the beach.

Already booked my train tickets, Peter. You know, cheapest non-refundable seats. I am pretty sure I'll be passing through York, but I don't think I'll be stopping :-)

Sylvia, my train gets in at 4:30 PM. A lift to where ever I need to be would be wonderful along with seeing both you and Mr. K.

See you next weekend,
Debra

Here's the Seafest's schedule
We'll be around during Sunday Murray but I don't know what the evening plan is so make it for Saturday & maybe we can make a party out of all the Mudcatters & singers that are willing, able & still alive
It'll be good to see you again

Spoke to Micca the other night & he'll be there, haven't heard if Jacqui is gonna have her granddaughter or not.

Bummer.

We've got to leave Sunday afternoon to rescue Granny from the kids.

I'm sure we might manage a beer with one or two of you on Friday/ Saturday nights. All of our slots are on Saturday, so Friday night we'll be taking in as much music from others as we can.

We look forward to meeting those of you that we don't know and catching up with those that we do!

Hi, Barry
Hoping to get over early Saturday morning to catch your early spot, then can stay long enough into the evening to hear your other set. Hope we can get together in between to swap songs. I'll have to limit my carrying instruments to a couple of concertinas. See you soon.

From the Events Schedule I can't tell whether the events in the pubs are singarounds or just performance spots for the booked guests. Can anyone enlighten me? And if there are singarounds. where are the best ones?

Hi Barry,
Am hoping to make it across for that early Sat slot of yours too, looking forward to meeting you.

And hi GeoffLawes, I've noticed that same lack of precise information too, though the Events Schedule on the website itself is pretty detailed as far as it goes. I may be wrong, but it looks very much as though the festival is modelled on the old Lancaster Maritime Festival scenario, viz. all the pub/club sessions would appear to be just a succession of booked-guest spots - except that there is one planned two-hour singaround on the Sat teatime (and even that is hosted by a number of booked guests). Which is a bit of a bummer for those of us non-booked-guests who would like more than just one meagre chance to sing during the festival!
Unless someone who's been to SeaFest before knows different...?
