Thanks, Debra |
Subject: RE: Scarboro seafest From: The Sandman Date: 19 Jul 09 - 05:18 PM yes,go to Scarborough railway station, then turn right, walk straight on,in the direction of the sea front about half a mile, and you will come to the sea front, throgh a pedestrianised shopping precinct the road eventually curves to the right, youwill meet a road that runs along the sea front cross straight over, the festival office is there, near the fish loading bay, right next to the beach. |

Subject: RE: Scarboro seafest From: stallion Date: 22 Jul 09 - 05:31 PM up! |
Subject: RE: Scarboro seafest From: GeoffLawes Date: 22 Jul 09 - 06:21 PM From the Events Schedule I can't tell whether the events in the pubs are singarounds or just performance spots for the booked guests. Can anyone enlighten me? And if there are singarounds. where are the best ones? |
Subject: RE: Scarboro seafest From: MoorleyMan Date: 22 Jul 09 - 07:25 PM Hi Barry, Am hoping to make it across for that early Sat slot of yours too, looking forward to meeting you. And hi GeoffLawes, I've noticed that same lack of precise information too, though the Events Schedule on the website itself is pretty detailed as far as it goes. I may be wrong, but it looks very much as though the festival is modelled on the old Lancaster Maritime Festival scenario, viz. all the pub/club sessions would appear to be just a succession of booked-guest spots - except that there is one planned two-hour singaround on the Sat teatime (and even that is hosted by a number of booked guests). Which is a bit of a bummer for those of us non-booked-guests who would like more than just one meagre chance to sing during the festival! Unless someone who's been to SeaFest before knows different...? |
Subject: RE: Scarboro seafest From: stallion Date: 22 Jul 09 - 07:54 PM Dave - Moorley man get to our evening slot at the merchant and you can have a song or two |
Subject: RE: Scarboro seafest From: stallion Date: 22 Jul 09 - 07:56 PM indeed anyone up for a song |
