Been asked for this by an Ozzie - "Fenian Boy" is all he remembers of the lyrics.

He reckons he heard it sung by Francis (or Mary) Black at a funeral in Milltown cemetary in Belfast.

the only one I can find doing a search is "Patrick Crowley" - anyone got any other ideas?

thanks

Alison , should that be "Peter Crowley" - he was an East Cork Fenian....there IS such a song. I think I saw it in James N. Healy's book of Ballads ????

Is it Down By The Glenside (aka Bold Fenian Man) you are looking for?

Spine tingling good.

he has no idea - all I know is that he said it mentioned a "fenian boy" several times, and its not one of the more common songs.
