Since Bill Sables has had the UK Mudcat Tee Shirt thread going for a while, and a couple of Americans posted to it, it is time to remind people that Dick and I have the main(?) stash of tee shirts.

History of mudcat tee shirts:
1997 - People started to say it would be great to be able to recognize each other at festivals. Dick designed a logo and the first shirt, in light denim blue, was available in spring of '98. There is a picture of Max wearing one Info and Max in shirt We found that there was not good contrast between the turquoisie ink and the shirt (Dick had thought that "denim" meant the dark blue of jeans), so future printings were done on navy.
2000 - We sent some tee shirts to the UK for Bill Sables to handle for UK mudcatters.
We pretty much kept the navy shirts in stock since then. At some point in the early 2000s we added an order of red shirts.
2005 - we went crazy making an assortment of colors available, on a preorder only basis - we only printed up shirts that were specifically ordered.
2009 - we only have a few sizes left. We have plenty of navy small and large, but nothing in medium or XXL. There is one red XL and a couple of XXXL in both colors. We would like to find new homes for some of these before we get another batch printed. I am not sure we want to use the same printer as last time, since the ink is cracking on some of the shirts after a mere 4 years - still quite wearable.

So, you can order them from me and Dick, paying by check (US$ only), credit card, or paypal - $15 + $2 postage in the US. We can bring some to the Getaway and NY Eisteddfod. Note above paragraph for the sizes we have. If there is enough interest, we will get more printed.

The XL is claimed.
We have lots of small and large in navy and a couple of XXXL, both red and navy.

I started checking out tee shirt silk screen web sites.
1. I am looking at 100% cotton, heavyweight (6.1 oz) shirts only. I assume that is what people want.
2. Some sites permit a mix of colors within an order, while others don't. Is a choice of color important to you? If the purpose of a mudcat shirt is to find each other at festivals, isn't it better if we all wear navy? If we go with colors, it would again be by preorder only. We cannot stock a bunch of colors in 6 sizes and never sell them.
3. Some sites stop at size XXL and others go to XXXXXXL. We have been carrying up to XXXL. How many of you who are XXXL and larger are looking for more tee shirts? You can PM me if you don't want to publicize your size.
4. It looks like it would be possible to order GOLF SHIRTS to sell for around $20. The minimum order is 24. Do enough of you want this option?

If no one cares, we won't worry about a new printing any time soon.

I care, Susan. I'd like a Mudcat t-shirt I just can't buy one. If I could, color is somewhat important to me, but you've dealt with that via pre-orders.

It might take a few more days for people to see and respond to this thread. I wonder if a post on the Getaway or other threads might direct their attention to this one? Either that, or add Obit to the subject. ;)

I never wear T-shirts, but would love a sweatshirt. Is there anyone else out there like me?

Max doesn't look like that any more. After almost 13 years at the helm of Mudcat, he looks like this (click).

If I had my druthers, what I'd really like is a periwinkle blue Mudcat hooded sweatshirt in cotton. :)

What I'd like is a navy blazer with the Mudcat logo embroidered on the breast pocket...
What I'd settle for is a 2X* navy tee shirt with a four-color Lee banjo on the front... or the Mudcat logo in whatever color everybody else agrees on.

Charles

*an XL would be fine if it were pre shrunk

Susan, I don't care about color, but I do care about fit. Because I care, I ordered a Mudcat t-shirt from you a few years ago that I have never worn, and knew I would never wear because it was the wrong size, but the sizes you had left were limited, and they are now even more so.

I understand that you might not want to order more t-shirts until you have sold more of what you have. I appreciate the work and support you and Dick have done, and continue to do for Mudcat and the DT. However, to assume that a lack of response means people do not care when you already know your size selection is limited is a pretty big assumption.

Seed - We are out of both XL and XXL at the moment. There should be a new order in the next few months, as more people express interest. Watch this spot.

People who want sizes we are out of should post or PM me, so we know to print a new batch sooner rather than later.

Answering my four items above will help us to select which shirt printer to use.

bseed, you could get a patch, they are about 2 inches round with the full colour mudcat logo embroidered then you could sew it onto your own navy blazer.

Since I have not heard from any "large" mudcatters (4X and up), I will assume that there is no advantage to dealing with printers that can handle sizes above 3X.

I'm interested but waiting on color and size selection. Color doesn't really matter but fit does.

We have been considering making Iron ons of our (Snakehead Run) Logo. Then people could put them on whatever shirt they would like to. Have you considered doing this?

No Problem--if folks want them. Not nearly as durable as silkscreening, though.

Remember there are mudcat patches to sew on other garments or other items.

I'd go for an XL T-shirt when you reorder. I'll bookmark this thread to keep posted.

Hmmm, it ate my answer, so here is another try.

Cool Beans: I put you on a list for the next batch

Bet: What size were you looking for? Pm if you don't want to post that

The navy XXXL is spoken for. The remaining red XXXLs are not in great shape. I'll see what I can do to rescue them.
