Subject: switched sm58 From: alex s Date: 10 Jul 09 - 06:43 AM Did Shure manufacture a switched version of the sm58 (they did for the sm48 - sm48s)? |
Subject: RE: switched sm58 From: Will Fly Date: 10 Jul 09 - 06:48 AM I don't think they ever did, Alex. I've had several over the years, with never a switch in sight. Unless anyone knows better, of course. Is there a particular problem? |
Subject: RE: switched sm58 From: alex s Date: 10 Jul 09 - 08:02 AM No, Will, no problem apart from forgetting it's on sometimes with embarrassing results! |
Subject: RE: switched sm58 From: alex s Date: 10 Jul 09 - 08:08 AM Update - just found one on Amazon £89.99. Cheers |
Subject: RE: switched sm58 From: GUEST, Richard Bridge elsewhere Date: 10 Jul 09 - 08:19 AM There are a lot of fake Shures out there. Shure will tell you for certain if your is or if it is not. Last time I sent them one they told me they never made an SM58S, but they are listed on Shure's website (now). If it's on ebay for a knockdown price, it's most likely a fake! |
