Hi, do you live in Europe and play any of the Dulcimer family of instruments?

If so, then you might be interested in this new website I launched just last weekend.

Although there are Discussion & Blog facilities there, it's more for players to simply network & stay in touch in a Dulcimer friendly environment.

It's also a great place for posting photos of your Dulcimer & sessions, plus sound files and videos of your music

So if you live in Europe and play any of the following: Hammered Dulcimer, Mountain Dulcimer, Cimbalom, Cymbalum, Tsimbl or Tsymbaly, Hackbrett, Tympanon, Salterio, Sur Santoor, Santouri, Santur, Santoor, Yangqin, Joochin, Khim, Yanggeum, Guzheng, Scheitholt, Epinette des Vosges, Langeleik, Hummel, Langspil, Citera, Kantele, Kokle, Kankle, Kannel, Gusli or Guqin, you might like to check it out:

European Dulcimer Players

Cheers
Dick

Good stuff, SO'P.

My page is also up and with a tribute to Roger Nicholson's "In Good King Arthur's Days" on it...

Talking about a "family of dulcimers" which includes all the hammered dulcimers and also the instruments akin to mountain dulcimers, is a bit like talking of a "family of harps" which includes all the plucked harps and also harmonicas. Or a "family of axes" which includes guitars as well as hatchets.

This is neat. European Dulcimer Players is like myspace only the current membership is an average singers night, which is how it feels actually, checking out the various vids, tracks, and profiles which is just splendid. It's all good wholesome stuff, but I'll make a special mention here of Nik O'Sullivan...

Nik O'Sullivan is certainly something special. I'm learning something from the site every time I call it up, at the moment.
