My father has posted this in a few places. I thought it may interest some folks here.
Camp Adventure http://campadventureinc.com/ is a non-profit summer camp for physically disabled youth and adults located near Topeka, Kansas. This year Barb and Aaron are adding a music program revolving around banjo, guitar and harmonica. Participating campers will take their instruments home with them.
Patrick is volunteering there during the first week of August. He will be introducing these wonderful folks to the joys of making music. Each participant will get individual and group instruction in the instrument they have chosen. So far 14 have signed up for guitar, 8 for banjo, two for fiddle and a whole bunch for harmonica. It's going to be a very busy week.
The emphasis will be finding ways to work through or around whatever physical limits may be present. This is a very personal challenge for Patrick. Having been hearing impaired for most of his life he can appreciate the emotions that these folks will experience. He is also determined to give them the tools to succeed.
You can participate by making a small donation to Camp Adventure towards the cost of the instruments. Your support will enable this worthy program to continue touching lives.

Blessings and peace to all,

Just want to wish you luck with this project. I wish I was over there rather than UK as I would be there like a flash
I have been playing banjo & guitar for over 50 years and have found music to be a great incentive in coping with my own disability. I have also been involved in a bit of teaching as well as making my own instruments.
Good Luck I would be interested in knowing how you get on.
