Subject: BS: Pin-barrel Harp From: GUEST,Chris Brady Date: 28 Jul 09 - 01:22 AM Members and others might like to see (and hear) a preview of a unique musical instrument - a pin-barrel harp - commissioned by the EFDSS to commemorate Cecil Sharp. Comments may be also be viewed (and added to) in the Forum. See: http://www.folkradio.co.uk/index.php/music-news/417-video-chris-wood-and-the-pin-barrel-harp http://tinyurl.com/n5l5zt CJB. P.S. If you listen to the YouTube clips you'll know why I put htis intothe BS:non-music thread - it sounds dreadful. |

Subject: RE: Pin-barrel Harp From: GUEST,leeneia Date: 30 Jul 09 - 10:20 AM I don't think it sounds dreadful, but I would need to hear more than one note to be sure. It's probably also a good idea not to be right on top of it. Sort of like Monet's Water Lily paintings. They're good, but not if you're standing too close. I look forward to hearing more about it in the future. |
