Subject: RE: White Horse Folk Festival Aug. 2009 From: Richard Atkins Date: 16 Aug 09 - 08:00 PM Highpoint for me had to be the Scout Hut Friday, all had their turn and it then escalated to a singaround Crack. Subject: RE: White Horse Folk Festival Aug. 2009 From: Cats Date: 16 Aug 09 - 09:05 PM Alternator went and by Exeter I had no electrics, brakes etc. spent all day in a garge or waiting for rac and complications as it is still under warranty. finally fixed at 1/4 to 6 but the thought of a 3 1/2 hr drive with the possibility of a duff leisure battery when I got there.... Bugger I said [actually I didn't but I can't put that here] so, thanks all for messages and van and me are well but tired and very miffed. xx |

Subject: RE: White Horse Folk Festival Aug. 2009 From: Doktor Doktor Date: 17 Aug 09 - 05:09 AM Missed ya Carol xxxxx(Huggg)xxxxxx Mr Sullivan reminded me that under Festival Rule 25(c)(i)it is actually mandatory to consume one's own weight in beer. I now have to lose about a barrel in weight. Herself will be fine after a week's sleep - she says a big thanks to Admiral for his expression of concern at the concert, and to Kate for the lift (failing which we'd have had to have strapped her to a luggage trolley) Thanks again to Kate & Dave - excellent craic! |
Subject: RE: White Horse Folk Festival Aug. 2009 From: trayton Date: 17 Aug 09 - 08:08 AM I (we) had a lovely weekend and even survived the camping. Congratulations and thanks to Kate and Dave and apologies to all for singing and then leaving the Sunday sing but we had to go. malcolm (and moira) |
Subject: RE: White Horse Folk Festival Aug. 2009 From: Fidjit Date: 17 Aug 09 - 08:24 AM Glad you all enjoyed yourselves. The regulars know it will be good and keep coming back. Could this become another Miskin. No there was only one Miskin. However, this is as good as. I've been twice and I might be a permanent invader. If I can find an Old Peoples Home near by that will have me. Used to live in Swindon years and years ago. Just got contact with some family nearby after 42 years. I'm over for week 37 and will probably drop in to the Swindon, and Highworth Folk Clubs whilst I'm there Sorry Dave for the thread drift. Chas |
