Subject: RE: Chord Req: chords for christmas 1914 From: Mick Pearce (MCP) Date: 02 Aug 09 - 12:42 PM Guys - that's not the song he's looking for, which is this one: CHRISTMAS 1914. We don't seem to have a tune for that, otherwise I'd put up a set of chords, so beyond pointing to the correct song, I can't help more. (If you search, there are several threads here about both songs). Mick |

Subject: RE: Chord Req: chords for christmas 1914 From: Gweltas Date: 02 Aug 09 - 06:07 AM The only song with that title, that I know of, was written by Mickey MacConnell and his brother Cormac, concerning the Christmas Day informal truce along the frontlines during WW1 and of a young German soldier, who during the truce had sung the German version of "Silent Night" was then shot when the hostilities subsequently recommenced. If this is the song you are referring to may I suggest that you sign up as a member of Mudcat and then you can PM Mickey on his Mudcat name, Chordstrangler, or alternatively contact him on his website at : http://www.mickeymacconnell.com/ I haven't got the hang of making blue clickys yet, but you can copy and paste the above link into your search engine. Good Luck with your search. |
