Went there last night 5th Nov - had a fantastic nights grass roots folk - we were made very welcome 10 super acts - great supper too
Next one in 2 weeks time on 19th Nov

I can definitely confirm sessions at the Dumbles, Southwell. Alternate Thursdays from 9pm, next session is 24th September we had 9 singers/musicians in for last nights session and the landlord puts on a lovely supper. Do come and join us if you're in the area. Colin - baggie, were you the guy with the guitar and melodeon? See you all there

I can confirm that there is a session this |Thursday 10 September - I spoke to the landlord last week. Not sure of the format. I'll go along and sus it out.

Yes there is a singaround which seems to be every other week on either a Wednesday or Thursday. Not sure which. Its at the

The pub is under a new person who is called Steve and there is a mobile number, but the reception is very poor there so you will be lucky to get through.

The information I have and its a bit sketchy is

The Ghost of Morris held some event at a pub called The dumbles in Westhorpe Southwell. The problem is that the telephone number for the pub (01636 812226) is un obtainable. A few people decided that it might be a good idea to start a singaround.

It would seem that there have been a couple of singarounds and it is hoped to continue. It seemed that it was on a thursday, but not sure how often it is on.

If anybody knows a guy called Richard Powell he might have some more info on it.

So if anybody from the southwell area can nip to that pub, then all might be revealed.

What I do know, is that it has nothing to do with the Southwell Folk Festival or its organisers.
