What an excellent, if overcrowded, session, I hope all who attended enjoyed themselves. The new landlord was overwhelmed, though I did tell him that his pub would not always be that crowded on a Tuesday evening. Anyway, he is very happy with the session, and looks forward to having us back each week.
Too many to thank, didn't even have time to talk to everyone - too busy playing - but even Mr Sables from far away put in a most welcome appearance. That, together with the north bank and Scunthorpe contingents, made for a top evening.
Don't leave it a year, come back next week, we do this stuff every Tuesday!
Wonderful evening
Lawrie

Mr McGarry, as a man of such importance to traditional music in our fair land, who would be more welcome to the mighty Barrow session than you?
And if the Tegster lady puts in an appearance, it should be an excellent gathering, fuelled by talent from both sides of the Humber.
And I'm not even drunk when I write this old tosh!
Lawrie

Thats a difficult one Lawrie

Sessions are not really my scene as I don't play, sing or dance LOL.

I don't mind organising the odd session at Faldingworth, but thats my lot.

Hope it goes well tomorrow night

Les

Just to let all lincs/yorks 'catters know, the usual Tuesday session at the Six Bells in Barrow on Humber (five minutes drive from the Humber Bridge is definitely ON. As you may know, it did not take place last week as the landlord had done a bunk. However, I've been there this evening, and the new landlord wants the session to stay there. So come along, it's known as being a most welcoming session, encouraging players of all abilities, a few songs allowed, no leader, no cliques, no prejudices. As long as your music is acoustic and mutual respect is maintained, and a splendid time is had by all. Pippa and some north bankers are coming tomorrow, so it should be particularly jolly and busy.
See you there
Lawrie
