A Series of Street Festivals organised by Durham City Vision will be taking place over the coming months. The next one will take place on Saturday 8th August in Durham.

Streets of Folk, will take over Millennium Place and Market Place on the 8th and will include performances by an exciting mix of regional and international acts.

North East trio and favourites from last year's Streets of Folk festival The Young'uns will be back to entertain the crowds. They'll be performing alongside Katie Doherty who has written a new song especially for the event which she'll perform there for the first time.

Actors, musicians and dancers will also stage a specially commissioned performance entitled 'Seven lumps of coal', which will tell the story of coal and its importance to the region's heritage and culture.

Free event - all welcome.
