Have just heard that Tony Sheehan passed away on 2nd August 2009 near Oslo.

Tony was very active in the "folk" scene in Norway where I met him many years ago. An absolute gent possessing a wicked sense of humour and possibly one of the best singing voices I have ever heard.

I always hoped that I'd get the chance to hear him again at one Festival or another.

Rest in Peace Tony, you'll be sadly missed.

Jaysus, they're dropping like flies out there! I haven't seen this many obits on Mudcat as we've had in the past couple of weeks...
