My temporary home will be stopping at Kings Lynn for a few days during September, and I anticipate enjoying the Norfolk scenery around the coast. Folk club addresses and activities Please.

Fisheye.

Here is the myspace account of one place in Kings Lynn. Suggest you get in touch.

The guy who runs it is called Pete Kitchen, very good singer in his own rights.

It's not to late to get a copy of Mardles (there's a link for purchasing online, only £2 inc. postage) that has full listings for Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. The current issue covers August - October. See the links page on that site too.

www.wisbechfolk.net is a folk club and has some useful links. There's a folk club at Wolferton (more of a round the room session, very friendly) - see www.norfolkfolk.co.uk/Wolferton.htm and the rest of www.norfolkfolk.co.uk but beware that many of the links there are out of date so check before turning up.

A good new site: www.littlebirdtoldme.info   for folk events around the Norfolk/Suffolk borders especially.

Also see Peterborough Folk Diary well maintained and full of useful information.

Sorry Anahata. Forgetting that you have the finger on the pulse in that area.

The Wolf Folk club meets alternate Thursdays 8.00pm at Wolferton Social Club on the Sandringham Estate (just 4 miles out of King's Lynn. Dates are Thursday 3rd Sept and 17th Sept. Thursday 10th is a guest night with Beverly Smith & Carl Jones (USA). The venue for that is not yet fixed. That is not a singaround night. There will be supporting floorspots though.

Roger
