I heard this song at the Rodeo Bar in Manhattan, maybe 20 years ago. This is the chorus:

I'm saving the blueberry pie
That I baked the day you said goodbye
It'll sit on the rack
Until you come back
And until then I'll sit here and cry.

I don't remember the name of the band (20 years ago, bar, you get the picture) but they were a mournful, un-ironic female singer and three or four male musicians, with a country-ish sound. I have searched Google & Cowpie for the verses, without success. Any help is appreciated - otherwise I'll have to make up my own words.
