Lyr Req: 500 Miles Away from Home

I used to listen to a "Folk" channel on a satellite broadcast service which had the unfortunate habit of not giving the name of the artist or the song. I really liked some of the music, and it was a search for information about them that first brought me here. I got no replies to my inquiry at the time, but thought I would try once more.

Mystery Song #1. Female artist. It has a refrain that says "Love, like a lesson learned..." and the chorus has "you can't always trust happiness" as the last line. Has a really nice violin break, too.

Mystery Song #2.Male artist.Contains the refrain "...help me dream Hannah's dream."

Mystery Song(s)#3. Bluegrass group with some other weird instruments like digiridoo, tablas thrown in.One song has refrain "I'm 900 miles away from home", other has refrain "down in the cider house with Lucy". These guys sound something like Holy Modal Rounders, but I don't think it's them.

Substantial reward offered for information leading to identification and purchase of above suspects...

Leej, you should know better than to leave such an opening on a thread title. "Looking For Some Songs" could get a whole plethora of songs since you mention no titles. BUT...since I'm a super nice guy I won't do that. Here is what I think you are looking for for the first part of your #3 request. Copied and pasted from Cowpie.

Yeah, I know Banj. Wasn't sure how to be more specific because of the fact that I was seeking so many different artists and tunes. I appreciate the lyrics for 500 Miles. Any idea who the performers might be? Someone said Country Gazette might be the artists I'm talking about.

Bobby Bare did 500 Miles and I think I've heard it done by others as well, but can't recall any of their names right now.
