Just to let folks know that the latest edition of Worlds of Trad Internet radio has now been tried, tested and fired into orbit. You can pick it up by going straight to the station player at http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/mini.cgi?station_name=oneworldmusic&tm=7011 .

Alternatively, you can do it by first bringing up the station page. Click on http://www.live365.com/stations/oneworldmusic . Then click the yellow PLAY button. Then, if you press the green button to the right, you can set Worlds of Trad as a preset. That will save you having to search the next time you listen in.

In this month's show we say a fond farewell to Sandy Paton, Sandy Ives, Mike Seeger, Jerry Holland and Stanley Robertson, all of whom have sadly joined the celestial choir over the past month or so. In between we take another sample from that dazzling collection of Irish music, The Leitrim Equation; Sonny Terry, Bascom Lunsford and Louis Armstrong keep us updated on the hunt for Lost John; Sam Larner gives us a crash course on the Napoleonic wars, while Bruce Molsky sounds a hasty retreat; Cecil Pearl, Dolly Curtis, The Balfa Brothers and Ampron Prunni bring us some English, Cajun and Finnish sounds on the squeezebox; Furry Lewis shows up with his very own take on the story of Casey Jones; we meet the youngest Cape Breton band in history; and Snooks Eaglin leads off a whole mess of street songs from all over. Oh, and there's the most barnstorming version of St. Louis Blues I heard in all my life.

All that and much, much more.
