As most people may have gathered there will not be a Sheffield Folk Festival in it's previous form this year. There are a number of reason's for this, the dwindling band of activists is the main one but to paraphrase the Two Ronnies 'in a packed programme tonight' is another. When the festival started there was not much on in October, this year we have in Sheffield skyhook on 2nd and 3rd, Burton Street's Full Monty Festival and the Malcolm Douglas do. So I have had a word with Trevor at the Kelham Island Tavern and we will have a session after the Malcolm Douglas do on Sunday 18th October after 4p.m.. We will collect for the same charities as the main do. There will also be an opportunity to discuss the future of the Festival in the hope that a few more hands on deck will appear.
