Subject: RE: folk music downloads From: eddie1 Date: 12 Sep 09 - 04:43 AM Hi Jeddy Don't know where you are but if you're in the UK, try Spotify. If you can put up with a few adverts, it's free and never fails to amaze me with the volume and choice of material! Eddie |

Subject: RE: folk music downloads From: Boho Date: 11 Sep 09 - 09:29 PM I use emusic.com here in Hong Kong, so I'd assume it's available in the UK too. Some stuff may be "not available in your country". A downside for that site is that I think you have to subscribe for a monthly package, and they've just all but doubled the per-track price for the package I signed up for. |
Subject: RE: folk music downloads From: Maryrrf Date: 11 Sep 09 - 09:21 PM Try Smithsonian Folkways . There is a ton of interesting stuff on their website, all available for download. |
Subject: RE: folk music downloads From: Joe Offer Date: 11 Sep 09 - 09:16 PM emusic.com has a very nice collection, but I think they're only in the U.S. Amazon.com has a lot of folk music in the U.S. I don't know about the UK. It's a shame Woven Wheat Whispers shut down, because it was a wonderful folk site in the UK. -Joe- |
