Has anyone else noticed this new CD that's out?

I have it on my spotify and showed it to my friend who was unaware that most of the artists on the album are considered "folk".

I must admit that I don't really consider quite a few of them folk, probably folk fusion (in my head), I also like to think of a lot of the tracks as "acoustic

I cannot get my head around the track "tale from black" by Tuung, it's not what I expected, yet, I do enjoy a good surprise.

I just wanted to know what some other folkies thought of it as I don't have many folkies easily accessible due to a large ammount friends not really being very into folk.

Is this just a way of making folk more popular by putting radio 2 standards on a cd with a few traddy songs and calling it a folk album?

Anyway, much love.

Certainly some suprising names there but generally what I have always known as 'folk' although some artists would have been considered as playing 'contemporary folk music' when there was a definite split in the genre in the 70/80's
