Hi there

I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for a suitable location for a folk concert in Kent.

We are looking for somewhere with a bit of character, able to seat up to 200/250 people with bar facilities that is ideally, easily accessible by public transport.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Regards
K/van

Well, Kampervan, in East Kent, Canterbury has the Gulbenkian at the university, and the International Study Centre theatre at the Cathedral, both contemporary.
Whitstable Playhouse Theatre has character in shedloads and has seen a few concerts thanks to the lovely Debs Earl. In fact Debs, has used most of the prime venues, catch her on the Folk in The Barn website.

How about the Littlebourne Barn, where Beau Webber recently put on a workshop and concert with Tommy Peoples?

See http://www.kentfolk.com/gig_reports/2009/2009-09-11to13_Tommy-Peoples_FiddlersVarous2009/index.html.

The Mudcat linkmaker doesn't seem to be working for me today.
