Subject: Venue in Kent wanted for folk concert From: Kampervan Date: 16 Sep 09 - 06:58 PM Hi there I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for a suitable location for a folk concert in Kent. We are looking for somewhere with a bit of character, able to seat up to 200/250 people with bar facilities that is ideally, easily accessible by public transport. Any suggestions gratefully received. Regards K/van |

Date: 16 Sep 09 - 09:59 PM Well, Kampervan, in East Kent, Canterbury has the Gulbenkian at the university, and the International Study Centre theatre at the Cathedral, both contemporary. Whitstable Playhouse Theatre has character in shedloads and has seen a few concerts thanks to the lovely Debs Earl. In fact Debs, has used most of the prime venues, catch her on the Folk in The Barn website. Al |
