Here 'tis online.

An unusually sympathetic piece, UK media seldom find much good to say about folk in general, much less the morris.

Hmmm, as usual no mention of the central role played by Mary Neal and the esperance club, especially their dance notator Herbert McIlwaine, who first noted the headington steps from on of the esperance girls who had received instruction from Kimber.
Sharp had originally only collected the tunes, it was the activities of the esperance club which fuelled the whole revival.

'inbedded'!(Ooooh, that sounds saucy!)

(Shurely "embedded" - Ed.)

Shure sounds right....but I'm more sure it's wrong!

A refreshing article although sad to see some of the ridiculing comments online.

Now, now, John. You know Morris dancers DO look ridiculous. After all wearing your belt round your thighs, no laces in your shoes and a sideays baseball cap is far more sensible. Besides, just what is wrong with sticking to the tradional arts of trying to sing into a Karaoke machine while being incapable of speech or synchronised vomiting outside the pub on a Friday night..?

:D (eG)

Starring Sir Derek Jacobi as the sinister head of the fictional governing body the Morris Ring
...
the real-life Morris Ring (no relation to the fictional Morris Circle)

Bad sub-editor! No biscuit!
