You know that performers are great when their peers are willing to pay money to attend their shows. I am pleasantly surprised by the number of folk musicians, some of them celebrities in their own right, who have made reservations to hear Sparky & Rhonda perform this concert. This is a Saturday night and I am sure that some of them have even turned down gigs of their own to be with us. It truly says something about the type of people Sparky & Rhonda are and what they mean to the folk community.

You are in for a rare treat. Sparky and Rhonda played at Richmond Folk Music last April. They are incredible performers and wonderful people.

The Borderline Folk Music Club of Rockland County, NY is proud to present Sparky & Rhonda Rucker in a special house concert on Saturday night, November 14th at 8:00 PM. The venue is Steve Shapiro's living room located at 7 - Trailside Court in New City (Rockland County), NY 10956.

This concert is very special because it is celebrating 2 anniversaries. Fay & I will be married 39 years and The Borderline will be marking its 5th year. We would like all our friends to join us. Admission is $20 per person plus we ask that you bring a cold pot luck dessert dish to share with 4 people.

We are very fortunate to have 2 such wonderful performers to help us celebrate our anniversary. They will be our house guests as well.
Sparky is a musician's musician and has influenced many performers to pursue a career in folk music including some regulars here on Mudcat. Rhonda gave up a medical practice (she was an MD Pediatrician) to join Sparky on the road as a travelling musician.

This concert is being co-sponsored by the Pinewoods Folk Music Society of New York.
