Subject: RE: Tech: (Mudcat) Search trouble? From: Joe Offer Date: 23 Sep 09 - 01:38 AM Refresh. In another thread, Max said he fixed the search problem, but then Mudcat got really slow - so I'm guessing he shut the search down until he can find a solution. I don't know when he sneaked in the addition of the Mudcat-only Google Custom Search, but it's a very nice feature. You can also use the Filter for searching for threads by name, and the Old Advanced Forum Search in the QuickLinks dropdown menu both the Google search and the QuickLinks menu are located on most Mudcat pages. -Joe- |
Subject: RE: Tech: (Mudcat) Search trouble? From: Joe Offer Date: 22 Sep 09 - 03:46 PM We've had problems with the search for a couple of weeks or more. The best we can offer right now is our "Google Custom Search" of Mudcat. You'll find it at the bottom of the search box on most Mudcat pages. It follows the same rules as a normal Google search - you'll have best results by searching for a distinctive phrase, and enclosing the phrase in quotation marks. -Joe- |
