This is the band fronted by old mate Geoff Cripps who is a fine musician and a stalwart of the welsh folk scene. He ran the Ynsddu folk club near Newbridge in the '70's which hosted what I think what might have possibly been the first festival gig I ever played. (Memory a bit hazy!) Check them out. Saw them at Celtic Connections the year before last. Excellent.

Just to let you know that evening has now been immortalised in a set of polkas called "Death in Ennis" and "The Audient". The second one is dedicated to you! We're in the midst of recording another CD ("Pwnco") to be released spring next year. We tell the Ennis story at our gigs and it always gets a laugh....

What a pity, I hate it when that happens. Usually publicity failure. Was transport provided by Aman yn y Fan?

They're a great band - what a shame there were so few to hear them!

I Couldn't Believe I Was The Only One Turned Up!

There was a wonderful Welsh trad group at Cois na hAbhna, Ennis last night, they were "Allan yny Fan" - but I was the only person bothered to turn up to hear them. As they had gone to all the bother of setting all their sound system up, they played a few tunes/songs, more or less just for my benefit although they said they wanted to practise some new stuff anyway! Not only that, but they gave me a copy of their latest CD "Trosnant"!

I felt that the least I could do is to tell people in the Co. Clare area that they missed what should have been a great evening!
