Subject: RE: Lyr Req: What wae I do if I had the power m'sel.. From: Jack Blandiver Date: 27 Sep 09 - 07:31 AM The language is actually Pitmatic, a highly specialised form of speech founded on urban Tyneside and rural Northumbrian dialects. About as different to Scottish as you wish to get really, at least it is to Scottish or Northumbrian ears! Do a Google search for WIKI entries, dictionaries and glossaries. See HERE for Guardian article. |

Subject: Lyr Req: What wae I do if I had the power m'sel.. From: Mrrzy Date: 26 Sep 09 - 03:23 PM Well, I searched in English since I can't spell Scottish... This was a great acoustic song I heard somewhere recently, where the refrain was something like What would I do, if I had the power myself, I'd hang the 20 candymen (at least that's what I heard, but that search was fruitless as well... Thank you in advance! |
