I just happen to live in the other Haddenham - the Cambridgeshire one between Cambridge & Ely - so send folk·fraternal traditional greetings and wishes for successful and stimulating Ceilidh·&·Concert Season...

Only a few days until Haddenham festival on Saturday - Isla St Clair, Belshazzar's Feast and our very own Surreysinger and Ralphie performing their "Listen and you shall hear" show about the life and work of Lucy Broadwood. Plus Derby Ram, Sylvia N and the Ram Company with Waltzers and Wonders, and Paul Scourfield.

Thanks to everyone who made it a great day at Haddenham - Isla St Clair was wonderful, I really enjoyed Waltzers and Wonders, and Listen and you shall hear, and will feast on memories of Belshazzar's (where did the dancing girls get to?)

I thought I caught a glimpse of those girls high tailing it off through the car park (but I might be mistaken?) I loved the amount of Belshazzar that I got the chance to see. Thanks for the vote of enjoyment regarding the show Kitty ... and it was nice to see you, Keith, Sylvia et al again. Just about to sit down and listen to the Belshazzar's CD I bought yesterday ... I want to listen to the Hampshire Mummers' Carol again - lovely arrangement of it!

And apologies to the other Paul (Scourfield) for not previously mentioning his afternoon spot, heroically accomplished after arriving via India!

You could always ask Hugh to call The Parliamentary Shuffle - seems appropriate!

Luckily it's a really fun dance, Tom, otherwise there might be a massive move to the bar at the mention of Parliament...!

Kitty, that's the point - and highly apposite! It is a fun dance - a 64-bar reel: Australian in origin and I stole it from Dave Field in 1984 - Hugh's bound to remember it, surely?
Have a good one.
Oss! Oss! Old Oss for ever!
Tom
