Subject: RE: Tech: Recording/Playback of Midi in Cubase From: deadfrett Date: 28 Sep 09 - 01:48 PM Acorn- I use the same tascam unit. You may have to check your sliderboard to make sure that you transvered your data. You might also go to your adobe reader to check to see if you followed all the steps. I've not had any trouble with mine, so it may just be that you didn't connect the midi right. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Dave |
Subject: Tech: Recording/Playback of Midi in Cubase From: Acorn4 Date: 28 Sep 09 - 11:22 AM A bit of technical advice here. I am trying to record some tracks where I lay down things like guitar and voice as audio and then keyboard and percussion as midi files in the same recording. I linked up my keyboard and it seemed to record successfully, as a track clearly showed up as a recording on the screen. However, it plays back through the keyboard rather than the speakers. When I disconnected the keyboard, the midi part did not play back but is obviously trying to do so through the non-existent keyboard - I'd switched it to local/off when recording so this isn't the problem. I use a Tascam US-122 for recording so it doesn't go through the soundcard - and Cubase to record. There must be something simple I've obviously not done which will stop the midi apparently "going round in circles". Any ideas here! |
