The Music Institute club in Guildford will be hosting Jim and Georgina Boyes as our guests this Friday, 2nd October.

Jim first came to prominence on the on the folk scene providing bass harmonies and guitar accompaniment with Swan Arcade as well as playing in the ceilidh band Ramsbottom and singing with Lester Simpson and Keith Kendrick in TUP.

Georgina is one of the country's leading authorities on folk music and is the author of numerous books on folk songs, ballads, traditional dance and the English folk revival ,most notably "The Imagined Village" (the book, not the "concept album"
and show that borrowed its name!).

We have booked Jim and Georgina numerous time before as one third of Coope,Boyes, Simpson, Freya, Fraser and Boyes but this is the first opportunity we have had to welcome them as a duo.

The doors open at 7.30 pm, music commences at 8.00pm, and finishes at around 10.30pm.
